Whale Watching Spoken Here is a volunteer-based programming conjunction with Oregon State Parks. Volunteers attend a 2-day training program where they learn about gray whales and other species common to the Oregon coast, including their natural history and biology, as well as how to spot them as they are migrating. During peak gray whale migration, volunteers at 28 different sites along the Oregon coast help the public spot whales passing by on their way to Baja or Alaska, depending on the season. Seeing a grey whale for the first time is a breathtaking experience that everyone can enjoy!! |
