Small Animal Massage by Carla
I am a Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner (CSAMP) through the Northwest School of Animal Massage. I became certified in small animal maintenance massage in August 2007.
I have also taken courses in animal acupressure from Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. I'm interested in becoming a Certified Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner; I've had to discontinue coursework due to finances, though I plan to continue when the economy fully recovers.

Massage Session Details:
Whether or not an animal receives a massage during a scheduled session is entirely up to the animal. Some animals will be immediately receptive, while others may take a couple of sessions to really get into what is happening to them, and others still will never warm up to the concept of massage.
»An initial massage session should be conducted when you are present in your home. I will observe your animals movements, and will discuss with you any areas of concern you have, as well as any veterinarian recommendations. Expect the initial session to last anywhere from 60 to 120 minutes.
»A typical massage session will last from 30 to 60 minutes, and can be conducted whether or not you are at home.
»If the animal objects to the massage and therefore the session lasts less than 30 minutes, it will be considered a partial session and the cost will be reduced.
